Ever since I spent my summers in Saskatchewan as a child, getting lost in fields of wheat, and endless skies, I have felt a spiritual connection to Nature . . .
My career was in health care and I wanted to explore a passion I had always had but never had the time for. The director Peter Such warmly welcomed and encouraged me as a novice, and a spark was ignited. I feel fortunate to have had many wonderful teachers and mentors, notably Victor Arcega, Steven Dickerson, and Paul Peregal, as well as the support and camaraderie of my wonderful group of artist friends.... and my husband and daughters, and parents, who have supported and encouraged me without fail along the way.
I am inspired and influenced by many artists including Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, the Canadian Group of Seven, Emily Carr... and many others past and contemporary. I am a graduate of The Victoria College of Art (2017). However, my journey as an artist officially began about 12 years ago when I walked into the Victoria College of Art wanting to take a painting course.
